The Garland County Juvenile Detention Center opened in 1996 and is a 22 bed facility.
The Garland County Juvenile Detention Center is the only juvenile detention center in Arkansas to be fully compliant with the Department of Justice PREA Standards.
The education is provided by the Hot Springs School District and classes operate on the Hot Springs School District’s schedule.
The Garland County Juvenile Detention Center participates in the National School Lunch Program.
The detention center has six staff that are Certified Jail Officers and the administrator is a Certified Jail Manager.
